1. providing a construction schedule for the project and adjusting keep the schedule updated. b. Implementation and monitoring of vehicular traffic and its maintenance for the construction period as shown on the Contract documents. c. Mobilization and demobilization, provision and maintenance of work and storage areas, Engineer’s Field Facilities, and performance of Employee Training. d. Implementation of sediment and erosion control measures as shown on the Contract plans. e. Removal and disposal of existing pavement surface and concrete base, curb, gutter, and sidewalk, and any other hard surface for repair-replace. f. Removal and proper disposal of street lighting poles, cables, luminaries, and respective concrete foundations. Including is the removal of wall-pack luminaires. The removal of these items shall be coordinated with the staged reconstruction of street lighting and temporary lighting. Usable material shall be salvaged and delivered to the District storage yard. g. Removal of select storm sewer structures. Usable frame and cover materials shall be salvaged and delivered to the District storage yard. h. Removal of select storm sewer structures. Usable frame and cover materials shall be salvaged and delivered to the District storage yard. i. j. Utilities trenching for installation of new catch basins, manholes and sewer pipes. Utilities trenching for installation of electrical duct banks and electrical manholes for streetlights. Trench backfill and surface restoration. Adjusting or resetting sewer-water-utilities manhole frames to new road/sidewalk grade elevation. k. Construction of curb and gutters. l. Roadway milling and resurfacing with HMA overlay. m. Repair-replace of PCC concrete base. n. Removal, resetting, adjusting and installation of guardrails and terminals. o. Installation of new pavement markings and traffic signs, including the relocation of selected (existing signs as shown on the Contract Drawings. p. Installation of street light poles, arms, and luminaires (type as indicated in the drawings) including the pole concrete foundation, installation of wall-pack luminaries complete in place for a functional and operational street lighting system.

The District of Columbia Government, Department of Public Works requires the services of a Contractor to perform snow and ice removal to ensure that the roadways are passable as specified herein. The source of the roadway coverage is the National Highway System (NHS) within the District of Columbia as shown in Attachment J.10. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, personnel, equipment, materials, tools, supplies and all incidentals required to remove ice and snow from District streets designated under the National Highway System. The District will provide de-icing sodium chloride rock salt and brine for pre treating.

 

 

 

 

The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents (“the Work”), which includes approximately half mile of roadway construction, part reconstruction and part mill and overlay; sidewalk widening and reconstruction.
