Subcontractor Opportunities

MD 5 (Branch Avenue) from Curtis Drive to North of Suitland Parkway and MD 637 (Naylor Road) from MD 5 (Branch Avenue) to North of Suitland Parkway Urban Reconstruction Project

Subcontractor Requirement Goal: DBE 25%


Reconstruction, widening, and safety improvements of MD 5 (Branch Avenue) and MD 637 (Naylor Road). The work will consist of the following: (a) Maintenance of traffic; (b) Full depth construction; wedge/leveling, milling and resurfacing, patchig, concrete roundabout replacement; (c) ADA sidewalk and sidewalk ramps; (d) Installation of curb and gutter; (e) Installation of traffic barrier; (f) Installation of Bioswale; (g) Installation of inlets, manholes, and pipes; (h) Erosion and sediment control; (i) Landscaping; (j) Installation of lighting; (k) Installation of pavement marking and signage; (l)Installation of signals; (m) Installation of fencing and railing.


Roadway Sign and Maintenance Backlog

 DDOT’s current street sign repair backlogs have increased (up to approximately 16,000 signs) thereby creating an urgent need to address the backlog, repair and installation of street signs and poles to help improve safety, effectiveness and quality of all roadways in the District.  The project is presently intended to address the street signs currently backlogged.

Pennsylvania Avenue SE Streetlight Upgrade

Subcontractor Requirement: SBE Goal 20%


The Pennsylvania Avenue SE Streetlight Upgrade project includes the upgrading of streetlights and signals along Pennsylvania Avenue, SE between 2nd Street and 14th Street to provide a fully operational and functional street lighting system LED luminaires and an upgraded traffic signal system.
