The scope of Work includes but is not limited to:

Responding to requests for emergency repairs on the DC Water system. Providing erosion and sediment control plans. Developing Site plans and traffic control plans. Setting up and maintaining traffic controls. Removing, adjusting, replacing, and installing new fire hydrants, fire hydrant control valve, connection pipes and fittings. Removing and/or abandoning lead service lines. Remove and replace resilient-seated gate valves, butterfly valves, cases and valve manholes. Performing CCTV inspections on water mains. Cleaning and lining water mains with cementitious material. Installing and operating temporary water piping systems. Furnishing and installing water services lines from the water main to the building connection. Excavating test pits to locate existing utilities and water service lines. Installing meter and meter boxes, frames, and covers. corporation cocks, meter yokes, copper piping, and fittings. Installing curb stops and curb stop boxes. Installing temporary pavement. Maintaining temporary pavement until permanent pavement is installed by others. Surface restoration of non-paved areas. Performing work in public and private space. Demolition of pavement and other surface features necessary for new water systems and abandonment of existing water systems. Installing taps into the water main and completing tap cards.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents (“the Work”), which includes approximately half mile of roadway construction, part reconstruction and part mill and overlay; sidewalk widening and reconstruction.
